Arrggh - Sound dropout

When are ntl going to fix the bug that causes the Pace box
to sometimes "forget" that it's supposed to output audio as
well as video? Once again I recorded a show this
weekend to find there was no sound on it when I came to watch it.

It's really bloody annoying!

Is anyone here "in the know" about if / when this will be addressed?

Cheers.

Last I heard, the potential fixes for this that they have identified so far all caused other, more serious problems. They've been working at it for a couple of months and by all accounts giving Pace a hard time as well, but an acceptable solution could still be some way off.

Well, it's nice to know they're working on it I suppose. Funny that
they should be giving Pace a hard time. I emailed Pace a while
back and their reply said all of the problems with ntl were due to
the software that was comissioned by ntl, and nothing to do with
them or the hardware!

This particular problem is not Pace's.

I hope the fix will be ready soon. I don't have a date yet tho.
