How do you mean?

Do you mean add a PS2 to your home BB connection so that you can play online?

A bit more info please.

Sorry, I'm still not sure what you mean.

Do you want to play PS2 games across the internet using your ntl BB connection?

What do you mean 'use PS2 appliances'?

Do you mean a Playstation 2, or ps/2 connection, as in a mouse?

Re: Adding PS2 To pc ?

I think he is on about being able to use the PS2 controller on a pc. If that is the case you can get convertors that will allow you to do so, i think they convert the connection into a usb and the machine recognises it as a game pad

No you can't, not without the £5 a month second IP package.

This is because both items appear connected to the NTL network, not your own home subnet, so need an address on the NTL network.

The free option is to switch the cable between them and power off and on the SACM, this will renegotiate with NTL and the PS2 or PC will then talk to it.

Best option (and cheaper than the NTL option long term) is to spend £40 on a wired router

or if the PS2 and PC are some distance apart, a wireless solution.

and

EDIT

Also - you should probably have started this as a separate thread as it may not be related to the above and although I and most others hijack others threads it's not best practice, especially if you have a specific question.

I thought there was a sticky thread on this, but cannot find it anywhere! Others know of it?

OOh yes he could.

Bluffdemon
That needs a second NIC card so a cost of about £5.

http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/produ...duct_uid=31095

It also requires your PC is on to use the PS2 over the internet, so an electicity bill cost, plus setup time etc.

IMHO your better off with the £33 router (or cheaper for a non branded one) as that will use less power be on all the time and easier to set up - should be just plug and pray. Also more future proof and more likely to be a consistant reliable connection.

EDIT - and it gives you a hardware firewall as attack / network protection.

http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/produ...duct_uid=37452

£31 from ebuyer
