Linksys Router with Belkin USB Adaptor? Will It Work?

Will it work? Because, I think my Linksys Network Adaptor isn't working as it isn't picking up any signals. Even though the router is in the room next door?

Thanks.

BTW, Would a Belkin F5D7050UK Wireless Adaptor work with my Linksys Wireless-G Router? There different. The router is 802.11g and the adaptor is 802.11a? Would it still work?

errr the F5D7050 is 802.11G. I wouldnt see any problems with the comms between the router and the card but my honest opinion is to stay with linksys as the kit they have doesnt break as fast as the belkin

Yeah. But, I don't know how to reinstall the router and stuff? Could you help?

I'm downloading an upgrade Firmware. We'll see what job that does.

Re: Linksys Router with Belkin USB Adaptor? Will It Work?

I could have done but im going away for the w/e in about half an hour. A router really isnt something that has its firmware just fail.

If its a hardware issue or its lost its settings then perhaps but the firmware should still be ok.

Can you browse to the admin of the router and see if the configuration is still there, also what are the status of the lights on the front?

Does your exising wireless card get recognised by windows or is it simply not working?

What secuirity do you use on your network? Have you checked to see if this is still set on your computer?

Its a long list....
