Post Re: Dynamode router (Ports issue)

Hi Chris, Yes I have managed to log on to the web page/consol for the router and on previous attempts changed some of the settings hoping that I was right, but it always go's wrong and I end up having to reboot the router to it's defult settings and leaving it that way because it works but not as good as it could do I suspect....

Re: Dynamode router (Ports issue)

I can only advise based on my linksys setup.

Firstly you are opening ports so I'm assuming they are alread open on any firewall running on the computer.

If your computer gets it's IP dynamically (automatically) from the router, this can chage whenever you reboot. In the Linksys opened ports are assigned to one of the IP addresses i.e. 192.168.0.100, so if your computer then gets an IP of 192.168.0.101 next reboot, the opened ports wont get through.

There is a specific page on the web interface for the linksys router, I'm assuming there will be a similar one for the Dynamode. Remember to save settings for the updated ports to apply.
