Re: Aj

I'm not aware of any 'patches' being needed to connect a 250 to any machine.

Re: Aj

to the website.

Have you made sure that you powered off everything before changing from USB to Ethernet. Remember to wait for the lights to settle before turning on the PC.

You may also want to check that there are no conflicts with your network Ethernet card in Device Manager.

Re: Aj

Try powering down everything and plugging it in, then power everything up individually start with the modem and let it settle, then your router and then your pc.

I'm assuming your computer's ethernet port is enabled? It may be that you don't have the latest drivers for that, in which case you may need to download those, but I'd doubt it. You can check if the port is enabled by looking in your network connections settings from control panel.

Assuming it is connected, all you should need to do is power off the PC and modem, unplug all the USB leads from both modem and PC, plug in your ethernet lead (standard straighttype, not crossover) and then power up modem, let settle and power up PC, let settle.
