Problem with Ports...

Hello

I have a Creative Broadband Blaster ADSL Modem.

For months its been fine and i have been able to download through P2P Clients with no problems. (I use P2P to download my World of Warcraft updates, nothing else)

Now the problem im having is my download speeds in the P2P Clients is stupidly slow. 800b's - 3kb's

Im on a 2mb ADSL Broadband internet connection and my ISP is Tiscali. (Yes i know most people moan about them, but there fine for me)

I have spoken to them and they havent caped my internet or anything.

Say for example if i download a file off the web, from a webserver, I can download at 200kbs with no problems.

Its just when i try and download through P2P that the speed is terrible.

I have tried to open the ports on my router as it has a firewall.

But it doesnt make any change.

This is what my port forwarding looks like: http://jamesmascall.co.uk/ports.JPG

I think i have done it correctly, the port is correct.

I thought that maybe the FirmWare might need updating? Would this fix the problem?

Thanks alot guys.

Re: Problem with Ports...

I cant see that port forwarding would be your problem. Most P2P apps will work with no problems even without port mapping.

Worth noting that you are only going to get the files at the speed the file hoster has for his upload. IE even if you had a 50mb connection if the user you are uploading from only has 128k upload thats all you will get.
