Re: Msn Mayhem
Setting/Unsetting a proxy in IE could help it has stopped me accessing MSN away before when I had IE set to an NTL proxy

Re: Msn Mayhem
The error on the truobleshooter is indicating a ports problem.
When you try and log in to hotmail you get the sign in page but when the username and password is entered the browser sitts there trying to connect and then comes up with a page canot be displayed error + Connected with the IP address instead of the url and get the same result.
The same PC works fully on another ISP connection so its not the PC.
I have the customers mac and address if any NTL bods fancy helping me out on this one.
I suspect its a dodgey modem or an ntl core problem, Cant see how a cable modem would fail and still allow http though ???????
N.B. While I was there the modem lost sync a couple of times !
! I hate this keyboard !

Re: Msn Mayhem
sorry I just found,
if you have tampered with your host file (got some stuff in it to stop malicious sites from saving bad cookies and such like), you may have MSN related entries in their, try asking MSN help to repair your host file, this fixed my connection.
now going to investigate if it now has let go of all of my entries from my host file......
