It still applies. You can leave your modem connected to the telwest point where it is at the moment, and then run ethernet cable from the modem to your PC. Cheapest option.
Alternatively, get a wireless router, hook it up to the modem where the telewest point is and then fit a wireless card in your PC. This solution is if you dont want any wires around your house.
If you are going to want to actually move the telewest main cable you will probaly have to pay the amount they state as the engineer will make sure it is all done correctly and that the signal levels are all OK.
But why move that when you can leave it there and just use ethernet cable to get from that point where the modem is to your PC.

This is the type of cable you would need.
Just choose the length you need and hook one end into your network card on your PC, trail it around your house, and then hook the other end into the modem which is connected to the telwest point in your house.
