Is this why filesharers are seeing things slow down?

Interesting article on the Reg about traffic management, esp P2P restriction.
I wonder if our friends NTL & Telewest are using this?

I wouldnt be surprised.Lets face it P2P sharing is going to be a thing of the past eventually or if not gone reduced to ther serious underground.Newsgroups are the way forward I have no doubt of this and with costs dropping and retention rising its worth the 15 quid a month for unlimited full speed downloads imo.P2P spreads viruses opens ports and aids hacking and it get some people caught and fined

AFAIK they do not do any traffic shaping, but they were looking into P2P caching servers.

What newsgroups do people actually go to ? I can never find anything !

p2p is unsustainable, it puts the burden of servers fully onto consumer isp's. Consumers pay rock bottom prices.
