Re: Problems with Router!

you could go here
http://www.linksysfix.com/check/HomePage/index.htm

click on netset and then there should be an option for security.

Or go to your routers setup page, click on the wireless tab, select security and change the mode to WEP, and enter a passcode. You also need to make sure your reciever knows the code

Tell me if that didn't help, and i'll put more detail in

Re: Problems with Router!

Thanls for the help

My wireless router settings page always fails to load in internet explorer - it is like a distorted webpage with an error on it!

Do you know how this can be set to work?

Re: Problems with Router!

Make sure you aren't trying to use a proxy in Internet Explorer as that would interfere with the loading of your router page. Check under tools, internet options, connections, lan settings for anything in the boxes

De Militarized Zone and you don't want it lit unless you need it.

Re: Problems with Router!

Linksys has an online "Chat" facility, I've always found it to be excellent.

Give it a shot.

Use WPA-PSK in preference to WEP. It is more secure, and is easier to set up.
