10mbit Upgrade via Downgrade?

Hi,

I know someone may have thought about this before, but I wondered if anyone has had any success of upgrading to 10mbit by :-

1) Calling Customer Services and asking them to downgrade your service to 2mb.

2) Rebooting Cable modem and confirm that you are running at 2mbit

3) Login to auto-upgrade website and try and upgrade to 10mbit

Anyone tried this? was curious as I might give it a go :-) im so impatient! :-)

Thanks,

Bagwaa

Probably works, but keep in mind you can only change back to 10mb after having been on 2mb for 1 month (so the T&C says anyway).. So you would probably have got 10mb by then anyway had you stayed on 3mb.

People-please keep 10 Mb discussion in this thread: http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/sh...ad.php?t=38076

That's what it's there for, we don't need endless 10 Mb threads being started.

I'll close this one now.
