Thumbs down How bad is Pixmania?

I've had recent experience of how bad this bunch can be - I only wish I'd seen some of the online reviews beforehand.

Over £1000 of camera equipment. Paid for 48 hour delivery. Now, 3 weeks later, I've received a battery - nothing else.

First the delivery was 'lost' on arrival in the UK, then the promised re-delivery was not expected before the end of this month - i.e. at least 5 weeks!

Now getting a refund ASAP and spending my money elsewhere!

BTW - a website, www.pixmaniasucks.com did exist, but the domain is currently in arbitration - guess Pixmania didn't much like the publicity.

I didn't like the reviews about Pixmania, so I got my Nikon D70s from Easy Gadget instead

Excellent choice of camera

Though the prices at Easy Gadget are anything but easy...

It's a lovely bit of kit.

Odd, their price for the D70s was the one of the best I could find.

I did. I also looked at Kelkoo and a whole bunch of others and Easy Gadget came up around the top (NB *including* P&P which some of those prices *don't* include!)

I've used them once and got my Camera three days later (as expected).

Re: How bad is Pixmania?

I bought my Sony MVC CD500 (Mavica) from them a couple of years ago... well over £100 cheaper than anywhere else... and they threw in a spare battery worth over £40 and a 3 year warranty!

Ordered by web on the Saturday, delivered by mid week.
