Need some hlp with a phone fault

Hi,
Am am here to ask a huge favour.
My neighbours ntl phone line died a few hours ago and when we ran faults they said there would not be an engineer avaiable until wednesday afternoon.

My neighbour is very upset at this as he is retired and his wife is currently ill in hospital. He has no other way of people getting in touch and is using our phone as a contact at the hospital.

I know this is a lot to ask and the person at faults was very helpfull but was unable to get anything sooner, is anyone who works for ntl on this forum able to help him get someone out earlier. I know it might not be possable If not I am going to have to give him my mobile as we are at work on monday.

I usualy dont have a bad word to say about ntl as my previous post should show but I think 4 days without a phone for an elderly man is a bit to much to expect.

Thanks for all your help.
