Re: Synthesiser pioneer Dr Moog dies

He definately did bring a lot to music !!!
He will be rememebered. The Moog Synth was a ground breaking addition to the music industry and Moog equipment is still produced to this day.
He definately influenced the synth led music in the late 70's and early 80's and his technology is even being developed to this day. To combine sounds and manipulate sounds in such ways electronically were a big part of music and still are.
I hope his company goes on for a very long time and that he is not fogotten.

Re: Synthesiser pioneer Dr Moog dies

I have recently been listening to several pieces of work by Wendy ( Walter ) Carlos, best known for 'Switched on Bach' and the music to the film A Clockwork Orange. Carlos was one of the first people to use and popularise the Moog in the mid 60's and worked very closely with Robert A. Moog for many years.

Oops, just read the link, "what he said"
