Cloud Gaming services

I am going to use Amazon Luna as an example as I have tested this

Basically what it is is you play games on AWS (Amazon) Servers and it is streamed to you on a browser (Edge works best I know I know)

This totally does away with the need to expensive hardware and is accessible in the case of Luna for no extra cost when you have Prime.

You do not get the newest games but you get a lot of decent games Indiana Jones and various Tomb Raiders for example and you set up controllers or keyboard and mouse as normal.

Yes you wont get 240 frames and 4K video but then to achieve this you have to spend 1000s on hardware or buy that latest consoles which does not achieve those results either.

I have tested Luna on an old SFF running an i7 6700 16GB ram and a 256 m.2 ssd notice no dedicated graphics that cost me about 65 quid . And it run really well. I feel this could be the future for the mainstream who do not want to spend a fortune and are happy to play casually

Re: Cloud Gaming services

I tried Luna once via my Samsung TV, it was the Indiana Jones game as it was free, it looked good but I just couldn't deal with it because it gave me a little motion sickness but maybe that was just the game. If it ever drops on PS+ I'll download it and see if it plays properly.

What I really need when I game is atleast 60fps and motion blur off settings as well as 4K or upscaled like I get on the PS5 Pro most of the time. If cloud gaming gives me that one day I may give it a try again especially if it's free.
