Does the device on Virgin make any difference - I was trying to find Modern Family (Sky 1) on the VHD box this week and couldn't see it. Haven't check the TiVo because i'd recorded it on that box so no need.

Not sure about the VHD box, as I only have TiVo, but it's worth saying that with TV Anywhere they just provide the links to the programmes on BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub and All4.
