airport express and superhub
I purchased an Apple AirPort Express today to extend my wireless network and to replace the wireless feature of my Superhub.
I changed the Hub to modem mode and lost connection so after a reboot, the modem would not lock on - top light flashing and the tick light not on at all.
I reset the modem to factory settings but no joy.
The upstream and downstream are both Unlocked and power level is at 0 on both. Anyone got any ideas??
Thanks!

Re: airport express and superhub
Sounds like the coax cable has come out or has broken when you moved the SH.
Check that it's tight at both ends.

Re: airport express and superhub
I've done this and they're all tight and connected well, very strange.

Re: airport express and superhub
I have tried putting the cable from the V+ into the hub but no luck.

Assuming that you've turned the SH off and on again then this all points to two options:
1. You've been incredibly unlucky and there's a fault on the VM network that happened at the same time as you reconfigured the SH.
2. The SH is broken!
In either case, it'll take a phone call to VM Support to resolve...

Re: airport express and superhub
When you get the SH working again, the notes below may be helpful.
The Apple Airport Express documentation is utter rubbish. There is nothing in there to help you avoid the inevitable gotchas - particularly the constant orange flashing light. So these are the key points to note:
1/
Ensure that the Express is in a default state if you screw up anywhere along the procedure. There is a pinhole reset for this purpose.
2/
Connect the Express by Ethernet to your Superhub and plug the Express into the mains.
3/
Invoke the Airport Utility on your PC and you should see the Express device present.
4/
In the Express Base Station page, tick "Allow setup over WAN". Otherwise you'll get an error message telling you to do this.
5/
You may notice the still orange flashing light on the Express device. If so, go to the Express status page and click on the orange light. You will find two problems, one of which will be double NATting. The advice offered is to put the Express into BRIDGE MODE. When you've done that and clicked Update, you will have knocked out both errors and the Express light will have turned green.
You're ready to use it for both 5 GHz & 2.4 GHz operation. The Express default state is to make the Express an extension of your Extreme network.
Hope that helps.

Re: airport express and superhub
I've got a tech coming tomorrow to have a look. What is the best way to set up the Airport Express to use with SH modem mode?

Didn't I just offer that advice?
Note step #5; if the light goes green anyway, you can ignore step #5.
