It also features a load of recognisable faces from TV SF...William B Davis (the Cigarette Smoking Man), Tony Amendola (Master Bra'tac from SG-1), Brian Markinson (GDD Agent Duram from Caprica), Jennifer Spence (Dr Park from SG Universe), Mike Dopud (Varro from SG Universe, also played two other characters in SG-1 and one in Atlantis), Lexa Doig (Dr Lam in SG-1, Andromeda in Andromeda)... plus also Roger Cross (Curtis from 24).
I've already seen all ten episodes from season 1 and I think it's great. Viewers in Canada agree - it's been a huge success for Canadian network Showcase, pulling in even higher ratings than Showcase's previous no. 1 rated show Lost Girl. Showcase has already renewed it for a 13 episode second season.
Hell, it's also worth watching just for the super-fit female lead, and her tight yet technologically advanced catsuit.

Re: Continuum : Season 1
I recognised Tony A, of course, but didn't know there were so many others in it
I have had this in my Wishlist for some time now. Converted to a SL when it appeared in the EPG.

Re: Continuum : Season 1
Unfortunately it didn't push any of the right buttons for me
I persevered until Ep 3. before giving up on it.

Re: Continuum : Season 1
I watched the first two episodes last night and really enjoyed them. Glad it's been renewed for a second season.

Watched the first 2 upto now... still on the fence but it does look very outdated in story and characters.. will persevere for a bit longer

Re: Continuum : Season 1
Watched 3 episodes but got bored. Not what I expected and it was too much like a couple of previous time travel cop shows.
I'd have preferred the futuristic battle between the corporations and freedom fighters myself not some tame back in time cop show.

Re: Continuum : Season 1
So would I. As a result I'm in two minds about this show - still intrigued to see where it's going, though...especially now Liber8 know that Alec's helping Kiera. Logically they should knock him off, because doubtless his liquid chip tech contributed to the corporations' success. On the other hand, if it was also his tech which made it possible for them to timejump...oh dear. They need a word with Sarah Connor.
One thing I'd like is a bit more backstory, i.e. how the corporations took political power in name as well as in fact - we all know they practically rule the US now, never mind in 2077. It's essentially an updated version of Rollerball (the original, classic version, I mean!), with the vaguest touch of Firefly.
There also has to be a conspiracy in 2077 of some sort - I wondered from the start how the prisoners got the tech for a timejump. It had to be an inside job. Then again...the most logical suspect for that is Alec! What is he up to?!

Re: Continuum : Season 1
I gave up especially as Haven has returned.. and the Mentalist and Grimm. I can't watch everything try as I may.

Re: Continuum : Season 1
Little bit of news for you on this.
Series 2 will air sometime in April according to one of the cast. Filming started in January and promises to be even better than S01.
Those who gave up on it may wish to reconsider.

Thanks for the heads up.
I seem to remember another scfi series (Falling Skies? was it?) that improved out of all recognition for it's 2nd series.
I will certainly give Continuum another go as long as I don't have to hunt down back Eps of Series 1 in order to understand whats going on.

Not really unless they go forward in time.

You should really watch the last series, atleast the last 2-3 episodes for it to make a little sense.
