Internet Upload WS7

I reported an issue earlier today regarding slowish Internet.

Did a speed test and noticed that my upload speed was non existent.

It has been off and on all evening.

I spoke to a rather nice lady called "Kate" on 150 and she assured me that the fault had been registered and is being dealt with. An issue with "poor signal" in my area??

I am in WS7 which is under the Lichfield area (I am actually in Burntwood).

Very frustrating as I can do "most stuff" but uploading is a no no.

Re: Internet Upload WS7

Give this a try

- Access super hub configuration page.
- In the Advanced section select DMZ Host and change the MTU Size from 0 to 1487

Re: Internet Upload WS7

forget what Martin said above, playing around with stuff like that is a last resort when the fault hasn't even been correctly dianosed.

Go to 192.168.100.1

You should have a couple of tabs like downstream, upstream and stuff like that. Can you copy and paste in here. It is all the stuff to do with your power levels which they were talking about on the phone.

Re: Internet Upload WS7

Thanks for the offer of help GM, it looks like the fault has been resolved as my upload is back to normal.

It was apparently an area problem.

Re: Internet Upload WS7

This issue has come back...not impressed especially as I am in the process of trying to find employment.

Same explanation given by "Sven" very helpful to be fair... signal to noise problems in the area.

Grrr :-(

---------- Post added at 17:01 ---------- Previous post was at 15:15 ----------

"Fix date" set at 13/03/12.

I seriously hope that is an exaggeration.

why that is pretty good compared to some i have seen, some fix dates are like 4-6 months or longer , it might be annoying but since they acklnoge a fault get a refund

Re: Internet Upload WS7

Well *fingers crossed* it is back for now...

I do understand that service providers have to adhere to SLA's etc.

Just very frustrating from a paying customers point of view for well over ten years.

Lets hope it stays fixed.
