Trouble connecting? Burnley

Struggle to connect to just a few services, EA Servers and Xbox Live parties to be specific. Sometimes takes a refresh/20+ seconds to load a page.

Nothing in my setup has changed for it to happen, i have reset and restarted every piece of equipment.

Any ideas?

Re: Trouble connecting? Burnley

Good Morning
I have Virgin Media Broadband (Manchester). I phoned customer services last night, the problem is a serious national outage, expect problems until 01 February 2011. Had the same problems last week customer services was not aware of any problem. My account will be credited with £10 as a goodwill gesture and the equivalent of 1 weeks broadband charge to my account next month. Spent hours last week trying to sort out their problem!

Re: Trouble connecting? Burnley

I thought that the national outage was fixed days/weeks ago. My connection was fine for a few days before this, it only started yesterday. I lost my connection completely for a while last night too.

Re: Trouble connecting? Burnley

It appears that Virgin Media are keeping people in the dark!
It’s an intermittent outage, no guarantee that fault will be fixed by 1st February. I was advised to contact customer services if I have any problems after 1st. I’m only a novice but I found this website useful: www.pingtest.net (it provides a record of your connection problems etc)
