Re: Tivo recording

By the looks of it you are trying to set a series link, just scroll along the epg til you find the episode you want to record and hit the record button on the remote

Re: Tivo recording

We just got ours today and my wife is confused by exactly the same thing.

It looks like it tries to record the first occurance of the program regardless of the time it is on or the time of the episode you click on to set it to record. What I am hoping now is that if it gets clashes, it is also smart enough to record the repeats of the episode I want and not just drop it.

At worst, if you go to manual recording, you can set it to record a particular channel and time and set that to record every day/week etc. to get around this.

If you also go to recording hiccups, you can see which of the repeats are being taped (R in a circle next them) and which aren't - if you click on them it explains it isnt recording it as it is a repeat. Nice, but very hard to find real problems!

Re recording repeats where a clash occurs, no need to for you to worry as this feature is one of the primary reasons Tivo came about!
