Upgrade from 20mb to 30mb
Please can someone clarify, if I upgrade my existing modem on 20mb to the superhub and 30mb this will be one off charge of £30 plus £18.50 per month.
Therefore my current monthly charge for 20mb of £37 month will reduce.
Is that correct as it seems a bit sketchy on the website.

I would always advise calling up to ensure you get the best deal so call tomorrow from 8am and you should get a UK agent.

re: Upgrade from 20mb to 30mb
Apologies on hijacking the thread but if I were to upgrade from 20MB to 30MB could I keep my Ambit (NTL) 256 modem?

That modem is not a Docsis 3 modem and why would you want to keep it as the Superhub is a much better piece of kit as my speedtest shows below.

Up to getting on the R29 trial I had the Superhub wifi working with my Edimax and both gave out the same signal and sometimes the Superhub gave the better signal.
My phone picked up the strongest signal so I knew which was giving optimal strength each time.

Re: Upgrade from 20mb to 30mb
Thanks for your comments. The reason I ask is that it's renewal time and I've got 9 devices behind my modem, including routers, WET's and VOIP, so I'd rather stick to a modem which I know works. The comments about these "super-hubs" don't give me much confidence. I'm currently getting a full 20/2 at the mo so why would I want to change? Do VM supply 30Mb modems or is it the superhub or nothing?

Superhub only and R29 makes it a modem.

I'll try and answer your question as no-one else seems to have even tried.
The £37 charge for BB XL is the non-discounted price and the quoted £18.50 is a discounted price.
If you look at your bill, you should see a discount line of at least £18.50 or at least £20 if you have TV XL as well.
£18.50 of any discount is apportioned to BB XL reducing the £37 to £18.50.
