Free blackberry offer for loyalty

Forgive me if this is in the wrong area. But i've just recieved a phonecall and a mass of spam mail from virgin, that seems too good to be true.

I recieved a phone call this evening from a lady speaking on behalf of Virgin saying that because i've been a loyal customer with Virgin, i have qualified for a thank you reward of a dongle and not 1, but 2 Blackberry 8520's for free (with minutes and data).

Now i've just finished my 12 month contract, i wasn't offered theses, it was a simple, u have recieved these gift, no discussion of contract ect

I also asked if i were to downgrade my current package on virgin media would it still be free and she saids yes aslong as i have a virgin account still. otherwise it would be around £19 a month.

i've been given 14 days to cancel it but before i decide i was wondering if

A. the deal is real
B. it really is free as long as i don't cancel virgin
C. if i did wish to downgrade or remove a part of my package, i'm not tied into a new contract.

any help would be appreciated

ta for the advice chris, after 10 minutes waiting, and 5 call transfers, i got put through to a dodgy line (in the us from the sounds of it) who quickly pointed out the "free contact" was actually £9.99 a month. proof that if something sounds too good to be true, it usually is
