MICRADIGITAL F5D7630uk4A-E

Hi,
My grandparents have the MICRADIGITAL F5D7630uk4A-E Wireless ADSL router and have been using without problems for several months.

This week a relative came to stay and tried to access the internet at their house. They put in the password for the network and now the internet has stopped working. There are 3 lights flashing on the router - none of which is the internet light.

My partner and I went round to try and fix it but could not fathom it - tried re-installing it but that was no help either.

Anyone out there able to solve this mystery?

I'm just trying to prevent the cost of them calling someone out to have a look at it, my boyfriend is usually pretty good at these things but even he was lost!

Thank you

I would just like to add there may be more to it than "They put in the password for the network and now the internet has stopped working." - but this is the information they gave me lol!

Hope someone can help?!

Re: MICRADIGITAL F5D7630uk4A-E

im wondering if for some reason when they said this they have logged onto the router and changed the password given by the ISP and this is why it has stopped.

Can u try and find out what password was put in and if so log onto the router and make sure the username and password on router settings are what ISP stated they should be.

Looks like its a rebadged Belkin router! Have you tried with a wired connection to see if the wired part of the router is still working and hence the router itself is not faulty?

Doing a factory reset, seeing as it's not working, can't do any harm to try! Just press the reset button on the back of the router and hold it in for 10 seconds, that should restore it to factory settings. You 'should' then be able to login (192.168.2.1 and click submit button as no password is set initially) and put in a new wireless password.

Might be a good idea to power it off after resetting then back on and leaving it for a few minutes so it can pickup your ISP settings!
