Mobile Broadband Sharing.

Hey guys I want to share my pcs internet through a wireless router which is a belkin wireless g router. Ive connected a cable from the lan to the wlan/modem port of the router. And shared the dongle with ics but it keeps showing internet : no connection on the 192.168.2.1 page. Ive reset the router to default and set up the new security settings and the ssid. And restarted the pc and router at the same time but nothing happens it wont show the internet in the router page what am I doing wrong. Please help.

When you say you have connected a cable from the LAN, do you mean the LAN port on your PC?

If so that is wrong and you need to connect the cable modem to the WAN port on the router with an ethernet cable.
then you can connect upto 4 wired PC's.

Sorry the lan cable is connected to my ethernet socket on my pc which ive got going into the modem socket of the router. So basically trying use the ics of the pc as modem as such to spread my internet over the wifi so I can use my wii. Im guessing knowing my luck it wont work hehe.

A small update I reset the router this modem while it was connected to the lan of my pc and lan connection 1 on the router and when I connected to wifi on the router I could access the internet and it wasnt my phones net coz I have no credit haha. But now its stopped working.
