Virgin Mobile my thoughts so far.

Welll my son relly wanted a blackberry phone so we decide to get him 1 we went for the special offer for virgin media customers.
I thought this would be nice and easy allready a virgin media customer just phone CS and get one added to your monthy virgin bill.
Found out i would have to phone 0845 or apply on line,so i ordered the phone and a sim card for pay as you go so hopefully my son would not use all the contract phones credit.
My fualt totaly i used the wrong card to pay for the delivery so got a email saying i need to phone up irgin mobiles 0845 number to change payment i thought thats nice and easy quick phone call.
Oh dear not as fast as i thought spoke to 1 lady asked her why there is not a freephone number for virgin she said there is not i need to talk to sales spoke to a lady from sales in a indian call center who baiscly said i had to completly reorder with her i though great i thought it would just be the money for the delivary.
I dont want to sound racist but some people who work at the call centers are hard to understand so i gave her my order and for some reason i was sold 2 sim cards whisc have cost me £5 each thats ok as they come with £10 credit i asked for online and over the phone a saturday delivary as you could chose your pervered time also she could tense my eagerness to get of the phone so she decided to try to offer and explain to me about getting mobile broadband of them i told her 3 times i don want this till she stoped.
I know you was supposed to recive a email but even so i got my son to wait in all day for the phone got a email yesterday saying the phone would arrive today when no ones in.
Whats the point in offering a selected customers perrferd delivary day if you wont send it then.
So i relly think the mobile side should be easier to do mabey a free phone number for virgin customers also dont want to over nag lol the offer includes unlimted free virgin to virgin mobile and virgin land lines but in the break down on the accounts page it says 3000 mins for the free virgin calls how can this be unlimted.
Well sorry for the rant but virgin as a company on the other stuff i think are great but so far the mobile side is crap, i might have to phone the ceo's office for a rant lol )

Prefered delivery day is not a guaranteed day of arrival, and the 3000 seems to be standard on every network for unlimited.

Re: Virgin Mobile my thoughts so far.

I ordered a pay as you go phone from Virgin via 150. A Nokia 1616 £4.99 with £10 airtime & £4.99 postage. The operator I spoke to was based in Manila, placed order 6.30 pm Friday phone arrived around noon on Saturday via UPS.
Discovered the £10 airtime was not installed, had long call to 789 to get it sorted, the guy had problems accessing my account, password not accepted etc, finally he said it would be OK within 24 hours. Tried on Sunday morning 0800 all working well. Fine little phone for basic use.

As an ex Virgin customer of ten years I recommend you watch your bill very carefully. If Virgin promise to do something dont believe them - get everything in writing . Its not the fault of the operaters yes they cant speak English, but the systems are set up to decieve. They are asw trustworthy as say.. Barclays Bank

Re: Virgin Mobile my thoughts so far.

Almost 18 months on, I'm guessing he's sorted his issues with VM.
