A few broadband questions
Got VM XL installed during week with TV & phone. BB is connected via a Sisco 2100 cable modem.

1. Why does PC light, data send & data receive light flash when there is no apparent activity on computer??

2. Can anyone recommend a good speed checker site as I cannot tell any major difference from old BT where i was getting up to 8 but never more than 2 MB speeds??

No apparent activity does npt mean no activity. Are installed programs checking for updates etc?

Just to add to pips post I find the London server on the http://www.speedtest.net/ site to be the most reliable.
