Is this router any good?
Me = clueless
http://www.ebuyer.com/product/88488
I'm assuming it must be cos of the original price but that could be lies!
I am only on 10m but my v.old Netgear router isn't doing the job even after a firmware upgrade.
I won't spend anymore than that, and would prefer it to be less tbh.
(p.s how do i get one off Virgin anyway? That'd be even cheaper lol!)

Re: Is this router any good?
That is a good price for that router and by far the cheapest for that model if you google it.
You can try calling Virgin about getting a router of them but they may require you to upgrade to another package to be entitled for one.

Re: Is this router any good?
There is an old review here which reads pretty good.
It's not the latest tech, but for £25 you can't go too far wrong.
Afaik, us 10Mb customers can't get a free modem unless we upgrade.

Re: Is this router any good?
For that price I would go for it as to go cheaper you are looking at the likes of TP Link and you do not want to go there.

Re: Is this router any good?
Thanks for the replies, i've just realised it's not free delivery so i'm not impressed...
No chance of me upgrading my BB if anything i want to cut my services a bit cos i'm getting fed up of paying them £60 a month

Re: Is this router any good?
If you head over to eBay, there's a second-hander at £15 (with postage) ending in five hours.
Others for £26 (inc. postage).
(Note: "Refurbished" = "Second Hand")

Sent you a PM.
Not sure if it's a good idea (or allowed) to post eBay links in the forum.

Re: Is this router any good?
Thank you, i think i'll go for the refurb then cos it saves £12 by the time i paid ebuyer's p&p.
I'm a bit confused about what this means (red)

Is it a proper router or is it meant to just boost my existing one? Or both?

Re: Is this router any good?
It just means you don't have to upgrade the adapters in your PC / Laptop.

Because you get what you pay for which is why they are so cheap and the only way to get support from them is online as they have no call centres, which may be an issue if you have a problem with them.
