				Sky HD EPG

			Hi,
Just got our Sky HD EPG upgrade last week and noticed that's it noticably slower than the previous version.

Any ideas why? Is it just down to the extra content that it's displaying and extra functions?

Also - it takes a while (one second or so) to change channels through the guide and also when stoping a recorded programme to go back to to the guide.

 Cheers

 Lee

Unfortunately the boxes are not up to the job. Mine is also slow at times. An occasional reboot of the box helps.

Mi speed is the same as before but my picture Q has dropped.
I'm thinking of "pressing the backup button and switch on" procedure but

 I) I need another person to switch on the box while I hold backup, very rare anyone in the house at the same time.
II) I have 76% of recordings which I will lose but if my picture Q improves I'm all for it.

Ours is the Amstrad model too, and it's a bit laggy compared to the old EPG. I even went into setting and turned off the mini screen option, but it's still just as slow.
