Smile Dell & Sky broadband

I have a Dell 5015 Dimension Desktop I run Sky Broadband and also have Inspirion Dell laptop Wireless connection.
We had a crash shut down computer restarted. The computer functions as acomputer but I cant get out on Internet explorer or Through Sky Broadband.
Have spoken to Sky Tech Support they say everything they have checked is ok. We can make the laptop work through the Router but no vconnection on the Sky on the Desktop. Dell looks for a fortune for trouble shooting is there anyone out there who might be able to point me in a direction.

Thanks

Re: Dell & Sky broadband

The laptop works OK, but the desktop doesn't? That pints to the desktop being messed up somehow.

First thing to try is to go into device manager (you can find that by going through the control panel and hardware) finding your network card and uninstalling. Reboot (power off and on) the computer, and that should prompt it to reinstall the drivers.
