Crazy account problems with 50 meg upgrade

Hello chaps, I was hoping one of you could perhaps help me.

My dad is attempting to upgrade to 50 meg and is having some problems. He filled in a web form to upgrade and received an auto reply saying a response would be received within 72 hours. A week and a half later he receives a brief response saying along the lines of "sorry we can't help you, you are not the account holder". He is!

So my dad emailed back quoting the account number and last bill amount and other details to confirm he is the account holder. He then received a further reply saying that VM has no record at all and that he does not have an account with them! I beg to differ, as he has phone, TV and 20mb BB service currently.

Does anyone have any advice on how he can sort out this utter nonsense?
