Hi all.
I've seen the various other posts on intermittent 50meg problems, and I think I'm having the same issues.
However from what I'm seeing, my issue is almost like STM being applied.
What happens is that no matter what I do at certain times, my connection seems limited to <1.5MB/s ish. I cant be 100% sure this happens after downloading anything, but I did notice it today when trying to download a 1gig file.
You can see from the attached screenshot002, that the speed seems to fall off a cliff from 5-6MB/s down to around on average 600KB/s.
What I've checked/tried:
- Connected directly to Modem
- Tried three different PCs
- Downloaded multiple files from the virgin gamefiles site
- Rebooted Modem/pc etc
Once this problem occurs, webbrowsing is slow and downloading from the VM gamefiles site is slow also. In fact I struggle to get 3 downloads to start... the third seems to sit at 'connecting to server' whilst the other two run. (see screenshot003)
I've posted on the VM newsgroups and one person replied saying they could see SNR issues, then the next said they could not.. So not getting very far on that front, I'm hoping posting here may help, or at least highlight some issue others may be seeing.
