Random Ip address

searched the forum for similar posts but none found so. ...

anyhoo's past 2 weeks my router has been blocking a ip address of 209.85.229.164 which loops throuh virgin 6 times n then ends up being google ww-in-f164.google.com aswell as something else. I checked my routers firewall log and this had been blocked over 160 times in one week !!

Now ive removed my router ( wired ) and now letting the server check the ip addy's and now im getting another ip addres pinging the pc, upto 20 times aday , which yet again is routed through virgin then ends in a time out. Ip address i belive is virgins dhcp server address. so i wont publish that

there are various other address but not as bad as this google one..

Anyone shed any light ?? Not forgetting that the internet touches a wired router before it touches a pc, and then via a email / file server, so no web pages will be open !!

Re: Random Ip address

nope. ITs purely based for email / and acts as a file sever, and diverts internet to another router.

setup is - Internet - modem - wired router ( printer + unamed stuff attached) - server - wired router - household pc's
