ping test

hiya guys i,m a newbie just wandering can anybody help me just notice in the last few weeks my speed test r showing my ping is gettin higher started at about 41 now its 108 to 112 any idea wot maybe causing this thank s,i play xboxlive was told that if ya ping goes any more will start having problems in games and game chat

Ok try this.

Open "Command Prompt"
type in "ping bbc.co.uk" without the quotes.
after thats finished do a tracert "tracert bbc.co.uk" without the quotes and post that.

Speed test generally show a http ping test which isn't the same as gaming ping.

As long as the route is the same then a ping on any port should give the same results..

Probably hardware issues somewhere.. If it's not back to normal in a couple of days try VM's newsgroups and post a question on there

Ok i don't think theres anything to worry about cause they are peretty good results.

Can't quite put my eye on the spike though was anyone using the internet when u did this?
