oversubscibed ubr and 50mbit

If I am on an oversubscibed ubr on 20mbit then upgrade to a 50mbit connection would that possibly solve the over subscription issue moving from the docsis 1 network to docsis 3 one?

Its not a UBR but a new speed running on a different DOCSIS network, which is capable for high speeds and more bandwidth, you will see when the OPs UBR is upgraded speeds will get better

And said different DOCSIS network is sourced from a new uBR / CMTS, either a Cisco 10k or a Motorola BSR 64000 depending on area. Legacy services up until last year were served exclusively through Cisco uBR7246VXRs until some 10k chassis were introduced for capacity relief. Even then the 10k wasn't wideband compatible until the appropriate Gigabit Ethernet SPA and Edge QAM were installed.
