Basically i am behind a proxy server within a counties connection. We have a separte BT BB line so IT can dial in from home and our networking people say if i just set my Gateway and DNS to the BB lines ip i should be able to route out, so i can get some programmes iam researching. Anyone got any ideas why it doesn't seem to be working?
You need to set your Gateway to the IP of the router on the network and the DNS Servers to those of BT (you could also try setting the Primary DNS server as that of the router as most will forward DNS requests)
