Can you somebody please point out what im doing wrong.
Just purchased a new computer with a onboard Lan connection. My current computer is only 2 and half years old and when purchased and the lead connected to the lan card it worked straight away with no messing.
This new one doesnt want to know. Its a NTL 250 Modem but i keep getting an error when connecting. Do i need any settings set up in the network connections box. Any help will do
The main thing is to turn off the modem for a minute, then turn it back on.
If you haven't done this already, the modem may still think you have the old computer attached.

Re: New computer cant connect
if your new pc has vista installed start internet explorer and if no web pages load up there should be a setting in one of the IE menus that will enable the connection. Had this happen on a mates pc http://cablehell.co.uk/forums/index....pic=104308&hl=
