help with Dynamode BR-6004

Have just got the above router for my desktop PC. The pc will be staying where it is. I am wanting to connect my son's Xbox also. However, at minute I havent got a clue what to do. Have my Virgin modem (old ntl modem) connected to the router with an ethernet cable. What next? I thought it would be plug and play but not the case obviously. HELP!!!!!!!

Re: help with Dynamode BR-6004

When swapping over any connected device, the modem must be powered off.

wire:
modem < ethernet > router WAN (internet)
router LAN <ethernet> computer
router LAN <ethernet> Xbox

Power up modem, then router, then computer (power the xbox once the computer is OK).

You should now be able to browse internet.

Go to the admin page of the router (use internet explorer), and set up the wireless security stuff - read the router manual for the admin page connection and security setup options.

Re: help with Dynamode BR-6004

Have the router connected to PC via ethernet, the router connected to modem via ethernet. Can obviously get online with this connection. Router didn't come with a set up cd and the instructions are impossible to understand. Haven't a clue what the admin page is. When I go to the Dynamode website I have to select my piece of equipment- not there. Am REALLY frustrated now. Need to get this sorted for Xmas as son is getting wi-fi enabled laptop. PLEASE HELP
