Why does my router keep disconnecting?

At random intervals, my router (http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProdu...duct_Id=203415) would cut in and out, or completly cut out from connection with my VM modem and i would then have to unplug it to restart it. I know its not the internet connection, since the modem itself is still connected to the internet and the lights on it, are normal.
Does anyone know what the problem is?

Re: Why does my router keep disconnecting?

Sometimes its just something as simple as a damaged cable. Ethernet cable plugs can get broken ... do you have a spare you can try?
