Cold Calling

Hi,

Has anybody been called up about £5.99 plan for replacing your phone tarriff with a adapter device that plugs into your broadband and you can have unlimited calls.

The company is called wantage or something, I rung up VM customer support and they say that they have had a large number of complaints about this company?

The question I have is how did they know i was a virgin media phone/broadband customer, VM customer support say they don't give out any details.

Re: Cold Calling

That would be Vonage and they are a flipping pain.

I have no idea how they are getting people's telephone numbers.

They make out they are connected and the adapter has somehow been authorised by Virgin when it hasn't and is nothing to do with VM

They have more than likely got a list from some sort of marketing company I'd assume
