Virgin cable with d-link di524 problems..

hello all, i recently got virgin broadband and tv. The broad band works fine if i connect my laptop directly too the modem with the ethernet cable, however i want to share the connection between 2 laptops and 1 pc wirelessly, i googled and found people recommending the d link di524, but i cant seem to get it to work. My laptops are windows vista and the pc is xp.
Basically iv set up as i should and the DHCP never seems to connect, it just says connecting when i go into the router set up page.
So the wireless network is there, i can connect to it on my laptops wirelessly, but no websites will display.
When i go into connection properties it says the ipv4 is connected but the ipv6 has limited connectivity, im not sure what this means.
Ive tried switching everything off waiting 30 seconds, iv tried pin prick resets, im just getting a bit frustrated.
My modem is connected to the router via ethernet, and when im trying to set up the network i connect my laptop to the router via ethernet. i get a solid 'wan' LED light, it seems the DHCP thing is what is giving me the problem, i can get into the router settings by going to the ip address, and im set to dynamic IP but i dont know what else to try, any suggestions are greatly apprecitated !!
