Belkin Router & Webstar Modem

Hi,
I`m knew to this and probably in the wrong place but. I have just bought a belkin wirelss G router to connect up with my VM webstar modem which has an ethernet socket and USB. The usb connects to the internet ok but the ethernet does not, if thats bad enough my wifes new built wifi laptop can not or will not pick the signal, where I am going wrong I followed the simply instructions. My westar modem is 6 years old and my pc is running on XP, which possibly my modem ethernet does not recognise or am I talking rubbish

Call Tech Support and see about getting a new router as that must be either a DPX100 or a DPX110 and either require replacing.

Tech Support is open 24/7 on the numbers below.

For help with your TV or Phone and for Broadband Technical Support:

Call Product Support/Faults on 151 option 3 from your Virgin Media Phone. It's absolutely free.

Or call 0845 454 1111 from any other phone line.

Try removing the USB modem drivers and any VM software.
Make sure the network adaptor is set set to obtain an IP address automatically.
