Sitecom wireless router problem

I just got a sitecom wireless router with the intention of wirelessly connecting two pc's to my virgin cable connection. I expected this to be problem free as I have helped others set up wireless connections in the past and had no difficulties. But this is problematic to say the least.

First of all getting a connection at all is problematic. When I do get a connection if i reboot the computer it's gone again and I have to go through a process of turning the pc off then rebooting both the cable modem and the wireless router before powering up the pc again.

Secondly when I do get the connection up and running again it's then impossible to have a connection on the second pc. I can have one or the other connected after this tedious process of rebooting both cable modem and router but never both connected.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Cancel that request. I took the piece of **** back. Got a netgear box that connected both my pc's without any trouble at all.

Just like to mention that I got the sitecom box at Maplins. They wouldn't refund my money or swap it for another one without first making me fill out a form and then the box is apparently sent back to head office for testing which takes 7 to 10 days.

I was told I couldn't be instantly refunded because I had "opened it and used it"

If anyone out there knows of any way to see if an item is working without opening it and trying to use it let me know.
