wireless router help...........please

i have just connected netgear router to vm (old ntl) modem and have set up pc fine all working and hard wired.

now i have a problem with laptop i can see the router on the wireless connections list but will not let me connect.

please can someone help me, thanks in advance.

Is it giving you any messages to say why it's not connecting?

Is your card set for DHCP (obtain IP automatic)?

Is it an encryption issue?
