Virgin Media in Welwyn Garden City

Hi all, I'm in the process of moving to Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire and was hoping to get some advice in respect to Virgin Media Services in the area.

I have checked the website and my postcode is listed as being cabled up.

Does anyone have any experience of their services in the area?
Is their broadband service reliable?

I am currently with BETHERE and they have been great, but the house we'll be moving too is 2.5KM from the exchange (as the crow flies) so am trying to weigh up slower speeds vs Virgin's services.

Any advice would be helpful?

Thanks

Re: Virgin Media in Welwyn Garden City

i used to live near the tesco in hatfield, although i was a stones throw from stanborough lakes.

I had 20mb and would pretty consistently hit it at all times, maybe the odd small dip for peak usage but over night and such was always nearly spot on

i had cable there since it started years ago and its been extremely reliable and fast. i have the opposite issue, now im no longer cabled up and have to get DSL , i dont want to
