Talking ntl:home 120 + netgear wgt624 v2

Hi everyone,

I got linked over from google and have been searching through some threads but havent had much like finding anything of use :/

I'm trying to share the internet connection from an ntl:home 120 modem, to my netgear wgt624v2 wireless router, I'm not having much luck!

I've got the I light on the wireless router lighting up, and the modem working over ethernet but not actually sharing the connection.

I've tried setting up the router so it has the same Ip address, mac address et al as a pc would when connected to the modem but no dice.

Any ideas anyone?

Thanks!

I have the same NTL Home 120 Modem and Netgear WGT624 router sharing internet with up to 5 PCs, 3 wired and 2 wireless although mostly just 2 wired and 1 wireless, and running OK for over 2 years.

I didn't have any problems at all with set-up, with router set to auto-acquire IP was really plug & play.

Only issue I've had with this router is that it lost connection every 2 or 3 days and needed the modem and router rebooting to restore it, but that was a known issue and was solved by updating to version 3 software. Also wireless range isn't that good!
