Anyone in Norwich on UBR7 having issues tonight

As the topic says. I know there's scheduled maintainence tonight but they state only UBR 5 will be affected.

I'm in NR5 postcode area and according to the modem info, i've been losing my modem's upstream link tonight. It seems intermittent and comes back after about 5 minutes, but it's annoying!

Re: Anyone in Norwich on UBR7 having issues tonight

Still having problems today. Apparently it's not a signal level issue, they look good to me.

Downstream Lock : Locked
Downstream Channel Id : 3
Downstream Frequency : 330750000 Hz
Downstream Modulation : QAM64
Downstream Symbol Rate : 6952 Ksym/sec
Downstream Interleave Depth : taps12Increment17
Downstream Receive Power Level : 1.8 dBmV
Downstream SNR : 34.4 dB

Upstream Lock : Locked
Upstream Channel ID : 3
Upstream Frequency : 42800000 Hz
Upstream Modulation : QPSK
Upstream Symbol Rate : 2560 Ksym/sec
Upstream transmit Power Level : 39.5 dBmV
Upstream Mini-Slot Size : 2

What I have noticed is that the Upstream frequency keeps changing between it going down and coming back up again. I've had 330000000 and 290000000 there too.

When it IS up, the speed is fine - full speeds either way.. so it doesnt act like a borderline signal issue.

Here's a log too:

Re: Anyone in Norwich on UBR7 having issues tonight

Yeah, have just seen that. Explains things - pity I now have an engineer booked out!!

For the technically minded, it seemed my modem was getting a downstream and upstream lock, but then was failing to download the TFTP file to configue the modem. I guess whatever bit of the headend that serves up TFTP and links traffic to the modems had fallen over!!

Now - who do I call about the now not needed engineer?
