Belkin Router wireless signal
Hello, I wonder if anyone can advise me please, we are now installed with VM Cable tele, phone and 2 Mbps DSL B-Band, we have bought a Belkin wireless router Model F5D7230-4, it is connected from the VM modem via a Lan cable and then another Lan cable from the router to the main PC1, we have a Belkin wireless adapter/stick connecting to PC 2. On PC2" (wireless) we have varying signal strengths from very good to disconnected, and connection speeds of 54 Mbps speed down 20 Mbps.
1) Why are our signal strengths varying, when we don't move the PC or the router
2) If we get a reading of 54 Mbps speed for say 2 hours why should the speed dramatically drop/change when again we do not move either the router or Adapter
3) Would a Modem Router be a better option, to achieve 54 Mbps speed and constant good signal results, where we would have the PC1 connected direct from the modem connection and pc2 once more wirelessly
Thanks for any advice
Alan

On ADSL, we used a 54G 125 speed router and adapter, but we were not networking the two PCs, so the 125 Mbps capability was never used, but we always had a good signal and always speed of 54 Mbps
