this is their current shaping policy (mods sticky?)

this doesn't explain why 20mb users are getting 128kbps downloads but it does show what they're doing in terms of shaping to us atm.

ah, sorry didn't realise it was old news, i would ask the mods to sticky the link perhaps? simply because it does explain a bit to noobs (such as me)

Traffic shaping is a policy that's been around for a long while now. There are unfortunately a number of threads on the subject. I don't think that a sticky is justified.

It's just a shame that Virgin Media don't make it that clear to customers when they sign up, or in advertising, that it really exists. Still that's the same of most internet advertising of most ISPs, glosses over the small print that actually affects the customer experience.
