Cant access web user interface

Following a house move I have finally got connected to Virgin Media after many calls to customer service. They refused to wire the connection into the room I wanted so now I'm having to go wireless. And thats where the problems start.

I have a US Robotics wireless router and USB adapter that I've had for ages and never had a problem with. I've come to set it up today, its all gone ok until I'm trying to access the routers Web User Interface. It wont load in either firefox or internet explorer.

I've tried going through the troubleshooting guide for not being able to connect to the web user interface, and ive noticed that my IP address is not in the same range as its saying it should be to connect (its saying it should be in hte range 192.168.2.xxx).

What can I do? And please bear in mind im not very technologically minded!

Re: Cant access web user interface

Can't you run an ethernet cable from the router to your computer for a few hours, just to set things up?
